The application of LED is spreading rapidly, long life and reliability are still the first thing to be considered, but with the development of technology, when the problems of life and reliability are solved, LED lighting applications will inevitably move towards the pace of intelligent dimming system. So how does the LED projector complete dimming?
The first method is to adjust the driving current of the led to realize the dimming of the LED lamp, because the brightness of the LED chip and the driving current of the LED have a fixed proportion.
The second dimming method is usually called analog dimming mode or linear dimming. The advantages of this dimming are: when the driving current increases or decreases linearly, the LED chip will be relatively reduced, and the control circuit has strong immunity against the overshoot effect of the driving current. Its disadvantage is that the change of driving current will have a certain impact on the color temperature of LED chip.
The third way of dimming is pulse light modulator mode. In this method, the driving current is square and the pulse width is variable through certain control. The output power can also be changed by adjusting the duration of the pulse width, so as to achieve the purpose of energy saving.
The above three methods of dimmer are classified according to the output control of driving current of LED. The control circuit can also be divided into analog control and PWM control. The control circuit is usually completed by the microcontroller.
