The problem of heat dissipation of high-power LED lamp limits the development of LED lighting industry. If the problem of heat dissipation is not solved, the temperature of LED lamp will rise, resulting in the reduction of its luminous efficiency. For the current outdoor lighting industry, how to improve the heat dissipation performance of high-power LED floodlights has become an important way to save costs.

At present, the heat dissipation methods of LED lamp mainly include natural convection heat dissipation, fan forced heat dissipation, heat pipe and loop heat pipe heat dissipation, etc. The selection of LED module also plays a key role in reducing the temperature rise. The thermal diffusivity of the LED lamp beads can be improved by selecting the LED lamp beads which are encapsulated by materials with high and consistent thermal conductivity. The metal substrate with high heat conduction and high heat dissipation is used as the core plate to make the temperature distribution of the heat sink uniform, so as to maximize the heat dissipation.
When the heat generated by LED lamp working at rated power exceeds its heat dissipation capacity, temperature control technology is also used to limit temperature rise while heat dissipation is strengthened. When the temperature is high, the temperature control system starts to work, appropriately reducing the output of the driver, achieving the purpose of limiting and reducing the temperature rise; when the temperature is low, the original working state is restored.
Using the above method, once the temperature rise exceeds the set control temperature, the driver will reduce the output, and properly reduce the luminous flux and power consumption of the LED lamp without affecting the use, avoiding the LED lamp failure and shortening the service life due to overheating.
