The light environment elements needed for plant production are light intensity, sunshine duration (light period for artificial light) and light quality. In the process of plant growth based on photosynthesis, light is undoubtedly very important, and light can also control plant morphogenesis based on light morphogenesis and the components contained in plants. Only by properly controlling these three factors can we cultivate high quality crops. Based on the application of artificial light in plant factory, this paper introduces the control technology of light environment and the characteristics of light source which can produce high quality crops.
